ETRE, a solidarity-based school providing training for the jobs of tomorrow

On 27 October 2017, the Association 3PA inaugurated, near Toulouse, the Ecole Européenne de la Transition Ecologique (European School for Ecological Transition) in the presence of the general public and partners such as the Maisons du Monde Foundation and Audrey Pulvar, President of the Foundation for Nature and Man.

The school aims to support and train young people between the ages of 15 and 25 in new ecological transition jobs. A first in Europe!

This school is the fruit of years of representations and pilot-based experiments. Six years ago, the Association 3PA launched a first project linking education with the environment et professional integration, the “Parcours Métiers Verts” (Green Jobs training programme), aimed at introducing 10 young trainees to 10 jobs in the field of ecological transition.

The success of this programme among young people encouraged the association to increase projects such as youth programmes, exchange among young Europeans, strategic partnerships on the issues of youth unemployment and ecological transition, workshops for discovering jobs in the field of ecological transition, preparatory training path for jobs in the field of environment and ecological transition.

As from 2018, this programme will be enhanced through qualifications-based training. This new school, supported by the Maisons du Monde Foundation for three years, is a true professional training pathway focused on the jobs of tomorrow.
